View Financial Analysis: My Research 2014
Every year I research the Financial Statements of a few companies to see if their stock is worth buying. This year, J.P. Morgan (JPM) is trading a little below their Book Value. Their True Price-to-Book Ratio is currently at 0.98. This could actually present an opportunity for those that want to buy JPM. JPM is also a bank that has a very strong balance sheet. During the Financial Crisis of 2009 they were one the only two bank that did not need a bail out from the U.S. Government. The other bank that didn't need a bail out was Wells Fargo (WFC).
Goldman and Sachs (GS) is also trading below their Book Value. Their True Price-to-Book Ratio is currently at 0.60. For every $1 dollar of assets Goldman and Sachs own, you are only paying $0.60 cents for them. At around $160 per share GS stock is also an opportunity for those that want to get in.
